This is the email that was sent out to introduce the new format. If you wish to be put on the email address fill out the contact form.
Dear friends
My name is Matt Gregor and I’m the youth pastor at City Temple Church in Cardiff. I’ve been part of a group of youth workers in Cardiff for a few years. The future of that forum is going to be in partnership with Ignite and Cardiff Church leaders which will provide support, networking, informal sharing, and united output opportunities for Youth Leaders in and around Cardiff.
As part of this new format, Del Griffiths, the youth worker at St. Mark’s Church is setting up a website that will hopefully become a useful resource for Christian youth workers in and around Cardiff. The url will be www.cardiffchristianyouthworkers.co.uk and will be up by the end of the summer.
You may have had an email recently from Chloe introducing myself and Del Griffiths about this meeting and we want to welcome you to the first one on Friday 9th September at 10am in Glenwood Church.
NAME: Cardiff Christian Youth Workers
WHAT: A space in which to meet others working in the same field as you and to share openly and honestly about the highs and lows of the job. An opportunity to see what’s going on in and around Cardiff, chat about some youth work hot topics, share good practice, and worship and pray together.
WHEN: 5-6 times a year, in line with every other Cardiff Church Leaders meeting (these take place on the first Friday of each month). The first one is on Friday morning the 9th September. 10am-12pm. 10am with the Church Leaders for coffee, 10.30-12 meet separately.
WHERE: Glenwood Church (wherever the Church Leaders meet). CF23 6UW
WHO: This is aimed at Christians who head up work with young people. That may be in a church / para-church or secular context. Although this is during the day making it more accessible for full-timers, part-time and volunteer leaders are more than welcome.
Looking forward to seeing you then! God bless you today! Matt Gregor and Del Griffiths
Friday 9th September 10am-12pm at Glenwood Church
